NinaNina M. Hutson, R.D.H.

Nina was born and raised in South Charleston with her mother and two older sisters. Graduating from South Charleston High School in 1993, she graduated cum laude in dental hygiene from West Virginia University of Technology; cum laude at West Virginia State University with a Bachelors Degree in Art; and, cum laude with an Associates in Applied Science in Technical Trade Studies. Nina is currently attending Marshall University’s Graduate College to earn her Master’s of Science degree in Adult Education.

Nina is a member of the American Dental Hygienist’s Association (ADHA), the West Virginia Dental Hygienist’s Association, and the Kanawha Valley Dental Hygienist’s Association.

Before going into dental hygiene, Nina worked for several years in oral surgery as an Oral Surgical Assistant. Her experience gave her the opportunity to see first hand the end stages of untreated decay and disease. Nina decided that she wanted to help her patients by promoting good oral health with education and prevention so they would not suffer the loss of their teeth. Nina believes a smile defines the essence of each person and that everyone should have the opportunity to have a beautiful and healthy smile.

At home, Nina likes to spend time with her eleven year old son C.J. and their two adopted rescue dogs, Tobo (W.V. Brown Dog) and Gracie May (10” Beagle Mix). She is also a member of the Charleston Camera Club.
